Well to get colleges like NITs,IIITs,GFTIs or any other colleges that comes under JoSAA counselling you have to first clear the required cutoff as per your category in JEE Main. Below I have provided 2019 JEE Main cutoff (percentile) category wise -
So if you have clearec the required cutoff then you are JEE Main qualified and is eligible to get a seat in NITs,IIITs or GFTIs. Now to see exactly which colleges or branches are you getting, attend the JoSAA counselling process. If you are JEE Main qualified but still didn't get a seat through JoSAA, then you can apply for CSAB counselling through which you can get a seat in NITs,IIITs,GFTIs,SFTIs. The CSAB counselling will begin after the JoSAA counselling ends. For other private or government colleges that accept admission through JEE Main score but doesn't participate under JoSAA, for those colleges you have to attend their respective counselling sessions.
