This section might be easy for some and for others can be a pain in the eye but with little idea about the type of questions definitely you can get almost full marks in this section. 

From the previous year question paper pattern there are certain important topics that you need to prepare like :

1. Substitution.
      Example. If 'juice' is coded as  'sun' and 'sun' is coded as 'paper'. Then which is the brightest of all ?

Answer. would be" paper."
  
2. Number coding.
      Example.  If BALL is coded as 1233 and BAT is coded as 128 then TALL will be.
     Answer. 8233 

3. Alphabetical coding  ( same as the above )

4. Blood relationships . Example.  What is your relationship with your grandfather's daughter? Answer. Aunt

5. Theme detection.  In this a paragraph is given on certain topic then you have to appropriately choose out of options which title will suit better with story of the given paragraph.

There are other topics that are also covered like figure completion, etc .

Best way to prepare is to buy JIPMER medical questions paper book from amazon or any other shopping site.  Yes they are available online .
