OC means open category. It is the equivalent of the general or unreserved category.

BC category means backward classes every. It is divided into 5 categories such as BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, and BC-E. It comes under the OBC category.

There is a reservation of 7%,10%,1%, 7%, and 4% respectively for the above-mentioned classes.

Hence, there is an aggregate of 29% reservation in the academic establishment and state jobs.

OC and BC are different.
