The improvement exams are taken to give another chance to students to improve their marks if they are failed or not satisfied. But, they are only allowed in continuation year for appearing in the exam.

As you have mentioned you have done both years from two different colleges/school. When you apply for the improvement exam you need to fill your latest institute name from which you have recently studied.
