You might study components of computer in the first few days to let you know the basics of the computer that's it. CSE deals with other aspects present in the computer engineering course. Some of the main theories you will get in CSE are

1. Digital logistics

2. Computer programming and organization

3. Data structures

4. Algorithms

5. Computer designing

6. Language designing

7. Database management etc.

You will also get through some of the theories such as engineering mathematics., Network securing.,etc

Components of computer is a very basic concept. It includes hardware components such as IO devices(keyboard, monitor, mouse), motherboard, USB ports, driver devices etc. This concept is not studied as a separate subject, but rather, brushed up during the first few classes. The important subjects you will study in CSE course are:

• Programming (in C, and object oriented languages)
• Data Strucutres
• Operating Systems
• Software Engineering
• Algorithms
• Data Comminication and Computer Networks
• Computer organization and architecture
• Theorey of Computations
• Database Management systems

There are also other less important subjects like discrete mathematics, Digital electronics etc. and electives too.
