Common Proficiency Test i.e CPT is an entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course which test  four subjects i.e.

• Accounting,
• Mercantile Laws,
• General Economics and
• Quantitative Aptitude with an objective to test basic knowledge in these subjects' areas.

It is an objective type test with negative marking for each wrong option. It is  the first level of Chartered Accountancy examinations in India.
