Hypothalamus is the control center for several endocrine functions. The most common disease would be hypothalamic disease. This results in malnutrition, anoerxia, bulemia, etc. Damage to hypothalamus might effect the hormones like ADH, Corticotropin releasing hormone, gonadotropin releasing hormone, oxytocin and growth releasing horomone. Injury to Hypothalamus effect the functions of all these hormones. Body temperature regulation, growth, weight, emotions, sleep cycles are affected.
