Hello,

To become an IPS officer , you need to follow these steps:

  1. Complete graduation – You must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university.

  2. Apply for UPSC exam – Fill out the form for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) .

  3. Clear all three stages

    • Preliminary Exam

    • Main Exam

    • Interview (Personality Test)

  4. Get good rank – To get selected for IPS, you need a high rank in the UPSC exam.

  5. Training – After selection, you will go through training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad.

So, study hard, prepare well for UPSC, and focus on your goal.

To become an IPS officer :

2. Apply for UPSC CSE when the notification is released.

3. You have to clear Preliminary and Mains exams.

4. You'll be called for an Interview if you pass the Mains exam.

5. After Interview, you'll be having a medical test to ensure that you meet the physical requirements.

6. If you clear all these stages, then you'll be selected for IPS training.

Start preparing for the Preliminary and Mains exams while studying in your Bachelor's. Focus on your physical fitness too.

To become an IPS Officer, you must clear the UPSC CSE and meet the required eligibility criteria. The selection proceess depends on your final rank and fulfilling physical standards.

eligibility Criteria:

  1. You must be an Indian Citizen.
  2. You must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized University.
  3. Your age must be in limit 21 to 32. For OBC(upto 35), SC/ST(upto 37)
  4. physical standards:  height(men:165cm women:150cm), for certain tribes(men:160cm, women:145cm)).Your vision must meet a high standard.

The selection process for UPSC CSE:

  1. Preliminary exam
  2. Main exam
  3. Interview
  4. Medical and physical test
