Candidates who want to be IPS officers must meet the physical requirements. Candidates must meet the Physical Requirements for IPS or their application will be rejected, regardless of whether they have qualified for other tests.

Males must be 165 cm tall [for ST (excluding SC/ OBC) - 160 cm], while ladies must be 150 cm tall [for ST (except SC/ OBC) - 145 cm]. Males must have a minimum chest measurement of 84 cm and an expansion of 5 cm.
