Yes, students after 12th class can give Kvpy exam under SX stream, but it is must that they have secured at least 75% in 12th boards with science stream. And, they are pursuing b.sc.in the exam year. For further information go thorough this link

Yes, 12th passed can sit for KVPY exam, but in order to do so you should be enrolled in a science course which has subjects related to physics, chemistry or mathematics. So it means that if you are doing B.Sc., B.Tech or any other course like that then you can surely give the exam. I'm providing the link below for eligibility of the exam.
