In most cases, 8GB of RAM will be enough for B. Tech CSE students. It can deal with programming, web development, fundamental Android Studio, and minor data science projects. If you expect to work on heavier items like machine learning, VMs, or big projects, you can go for 16GB of RAM for easier functioning and for future requirements.
