Accountancy is a subject which will get in Bcom for sure but the type accountancy can be changed . Yes it is compulsory for you to study Accountancy in Bcom because BCom is more of a accountancy related degree so you have to study accountancy e in one form or the other if you pursue BCom. In case you don't want to study accountancy then I would suggest you to go for BBA as you may get less accounts while doing BBA but in Bcom you are definitely going to study accountancy.
