A person who have served in armed forces of union for not less than 6 months continuously after attestation and dismissed are considered as ex serviceman. Agniveers are Youths in the age bracket of 17.5 to 21-years of age are selected according to the existing selection system – written Common Entrance Examination + physical + medical tests – from among online applicants, and employed. Agniveers who leave after four years will not get ex-servicemen status.
