Academy of Maritime Education and Training(AMET)  is dedicated for maritime education and training. It is an educational institute located in Chennai, Tamilnadu. It is an UGC approved and NAAC accredited grade B Institution. It was established in 1993.

It offers degree in BE/BTech, B.Voc, BSc, Diploma, BBA, BCom, MSc, MBA and Mtech in several streams.

BBA shipping is a three year Full time course here. A candidate seeking admission here has to qualify AMET entrance examination.

The placement is pretty well. Nearly 95 MNCs visit the campus for recruitment. Students are mostly placed in sales department.
