Mock test are just held to provide an idea about the main examination pattern to the candidates who are about to enter in the examination.

See, it doesn't matter whether you want to appear in the mock test or not because it will provide an individual a lot of idea about the exam pattern and also about the topics which came in the examination.

It is always advisable to a candidate that they should appear for mock test as it will provide an extra edge to the preparation.
