Dear Suhasini,when you choose to attend a regular college and not a Distance education programe, it is understood that you have to attend college. Most colleges expect attendance of 80-90 % from its students. Failing to meet this criteria will disallow you to appear for examinations. Now most colleges are introducing biometric system which doesnt allow any manipulation of attendance. So it is mandatory that you attend college to be eligible to appear for examinations.
