It depends on your interest in the field you would like to study. But to become a Ayurvedic doctor it takes five and half years. If you can start your own medical clinic then you go for it.

To become Ayurvedic Professor you need to study Post Graduation which might take 3 more years. But Professor posts are filled almost in many Colleges.

When compared other Medical courses Post Graduation graduates and Ayurvedic Post Graduation graduates, the Post Graduation graduates belonging to other Medical courses earns more than Ayurvedic Post Graduation graduates.

So, if you are really confident enough and have interest in Ayurvedic then go ahead with it. But take right decision.
