Coming from commerce background at 10+2 level helps a candidate cope better with BCom,  and now in order to pursue BCom commerce as a stream is important for admission process, because there is requirement of subjects like mathematics, economics, business, accountancy etc, pursuing ba political science hons in more suited to your academic background, and if you want to appear for government exams auch as UPSC then  it's a great choice,  moreover you can do BEd or after masters quality NET or SET to qualify as assistant professor, you cam pursue law after graduation or management studies such as MBA/PGDM.
