BA will be good to pursue for preparing UPSC in future only if you choose UPSC subjects in BA, in other words if you choose Political Science, Geography, History, Economics as these are main 4 subjects in the preparation for UPSC, suppose you are from science background then you do not know about these and if you  then take BA then you won't be wasting time to get to know about these subjects and moreover if you want to go to UPSC then why would you be studying any other subjects
But in case you do not choose these subjects and you pursue BA then it won't be of any use.
