Everything that comes under biology can be classified as science whereas the reverse is not true. Similarly is the case with biotechnology.

Simply put, Biology is a field of science which deals with the study of life and it's associated complexities, whereas biotechnology is that field of biology which utilizes traditional biological knowledge and combines it with technology to generate stuffs which are useful to mankind.
