Is birth certificate necessary for AIIMS MBBS counselling?

Hello Hima,
Admission to professional courses is mainly based on the marks(rank) obtained by the candidate in a competitive examination(nation/state-wide). So, one should carry the marks/rank card, rather than the DoB certificate which is required, in any case, by the institution admitting the student for the course.

No, it’s not necessary. The Class 10 document of Boards will do the thing. But for sake of security and assurance, you may carry the birth certificate in case of any mishappenings. It’s always handy to carry all important documents to such places where life choices may be decided.
