hope you are doing well and safe. With reference to your query,  I would glad inform you that courses structure is almost same in NITS and state level Engineering collages (Karnataka)  . However ,their can be difference in semester syllabus like some subject  of one college comes in 1st semester and in nit it will comes in 3rd semester . For books it depends on faculities what they suggest but mostly some standard books are followed in all colleges
