Dear Candidate,

BSc Statistics is a 3 year UG course . It usually deals with statistics, probability, and permutations. These are just basic concepts of 11th and 12th but here you will get very wider. There are very less colleges which provide this course.

For this you must have passed 12th with atleast 50% in PCM from a recognised board. Also to get admission to any college for this course you have to clear the ENTRANCE EXAM of that college.

After BSc Statistics you have carrer options like Risk analyst , Research professional ,Statistics Manager, Subject Matter Expert - Statistics, etc.

Now comparing it with ECE, ECE has more trend now. Also the packages for ECE students are very large as compared to BSc Statistics. The average package for BSc Statistics is nearly 4-5 lakhs per year whereas average package for ECE is nearly 10+ lakhs . You can choose any course from these two depending upon your interest.

Hope this helps.
