Yes it's a good college for civil branch and placements is also good

CMR college is well suited for civil. And when compared to Ece/Cse the placements will be low for Ce/me in whole India and if you can prepfir gate and you can get good rank. Definitely, yoill get good government collages for doing mtech/ you can get good job with high pay-scale than IT job. It's your decision now.
