Hi Siddartha,

I hope you want to take an admission in engineering with CSE or IT branch so you want to know any difference between them.

The CSE and IT branch is much more similar but not same, many of the subjects are same for both branches but some subjects are different because the CSE is computer science and engineering Which covered both hardware and software section while IT is information technology which covered only software section.

If you want to educate yourself both hardware and software then you must go for CSE and if you want to know only about software then IT branch is good for you.

From last year many colleges conbine IT branch with CSE and focus only for CSE branch.

Hope this information help you.

Hi Sai,

IT and CS degrees can lead to similar jobs, the differences between the two are quite pronounced. IT professionals should enjoy installing computer systems, using software and maintaining networks and databases, while computer scientists should enjoy mathematics and software design.

Hope it helps.
