DMLT or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology is a diploma level program of 2 years that can be done usually after completion of Class 12 with at least 50% marks. . This course deals with the training and specialization of technicians who can assist doctors in the process of treatment. These medical technicians are also responsible for conducting research, interpreting technical and scientific data, collecting samples, etc.

There are different courses offered by medical technician colleges in Tamil Nadu. Some of them are B.Sc MLT (Medical Laboratory Technology), Post Graduate Diploma in Medical, Diploma in Medical Laboratory. The eligibility may differ for different medical technician courses offered in medical technician colleges in Tamil Nadu. These colleges are well-equipped to train students in the best possible way. After the completion of the course students are placed in known and reputed organisations.
