Yes ,it is quite beneficial for btech IT student having course in animation and vfx which helps in visualising the systems and helps in effective graphical designing so that a great acheivement can be done in information aided technologies

yes, learning new things is a great things.but a b.tech it student can give a try on learning new softwares/programming languages and short term courses like software testing training,windows management/networking etc. you can do animation/vfx as per your wish, you'll get additional qualification.thats all.
