ECE is about electronics and how they communicate with different components (Micro processor,RAM etc)
It has more physics in it. There is a little Programming involved but not much.
CSE on the other hand deals about telling these components what to do and when to do,by programming them.It has alot of maths and logic in it.

ECE has more scope in govt  bodies whereas CSE has more scope in private sector.The packages depend on which organization you get placed in.
Both are good branches but the decision depends on you.

You have to decide what task you are more interested in as per the above differentiation.
