EEE is not so easy trade, Subjects are tough, Job assurance in the core is less but one thing is for sure : you will become a technical person and get to know how to deal with the problems technically.

Talking about placements, it totally depends on the college TPC. But most of the opportunities are in sales engineer profile (which will help if you want to do MBA). You can also go for core jobs in private companies easily.

For govt. Jobs one have to preapre hard and crack the GATE exam.
