I guess you have asked a wrong question. The question should be "Is engineering a good career option". Because engineering sees no difference on the basis on gender. So it is same for both. Both have equal opportunities and in nowadays gender based discrimination is also reduced in the work place.

Is engineering a good career option?
Yes, if you are interested in it. If you are not interested in engineering or are confused then please don't opt for it. Engineering requires hardwork and needs to given utmost priority. Not all engineers are paid in crores and not all are useless. If you are attracted towards machines or you are interested in programming then go for Engineering. If not then dont opt for Engineering.

Being a girl i know we get confused whether to opt for engineering but let me tell you that engineering have such a scope in future for exposure and all. I am also pursuing engineering in electronics branch but frankly speaking I never faced a problem of thinking as being a girl. So, go for it and you will definitely fing a best future in this branch.
