As of now there has been no update about postponement of the gate exam 2021 . So no IITS will definitely find another way to conduct the exam. if condition is not favourable in this mode . So I will suggest you to don't confuse yourself and start preparation .

See this are very relative terms to be considered in reference to the scenario of that time frame. So if the condition of covid-19 degrades near the time frame of the exam then there is a great possibility of postponement. But I would recommend you not to lag any way because in this scenario quite a number of exam are conducted by the government which are not for academic purpose but for jobs like SSC CHSL etc. So you should be focused on your study because postponement is very relative to the situation.
