Many universities have there own entrance but gate score is valid at many universities.

For best Institute of India, IITs, nits etc take GATE rank. Gate ka score sab college Mein valid hein for mtech. Otherwise, some of the universities has their own entrances for mtech..

No GATE is not the only way to get admission in mtech course as there are many entrance exams like VITMEEE,BITS HD are conducted to give admissions in postgraduate courses to candidates.
