Yes, it is a vocational subject at the moment in class 12 science stream, along with courses like Legal Studies, Home Science etc.

However, IP is set to be a compulsory subject for students of CBSE in 12th science from the session 2020-2021 onwards. So, yes, even DU will accept it as a core subject.

The importance of the subject has finally started gaining momentum.

Thanks!

Is IP a technical vocational subject? In JEE 75% is compulsory but my marks are 73% but if I add my IP marks instead of my chemistry marks then it will be 78% ( as mentioned by JEE that marks of technical vocational subject can be added instead of chemistry) . Please tell whether IP is a technical vocational subject or not?
