According to an online source,

If you are in a dilemma of choosing one between those two choices then, I would say, go for IT! I have a good reason saying so because, as far as I have known about the universities in India, in most of the cases whichever stream the student may choose at the start, he/she will finally will end up being placed in an IT company (including IITs, I have one friend from IITB who is working for Congnizant despite being an aerospace undergraduate!).

So, why not take IT in undergraduate and work the same. At least you will have the satisfaction of working on what you have learnt.
