Hi student,

If civil services is your ultimate goal, then of course it is very much beneficial to start preparing for it right from your first year at college. UPSC has a vast syllabus and needs time for preparation. So start reading the newspaper and the standard books for preparing ahead. It will shape your concepts and help you in future.

Hope it helps.

Good luck.

Yes it's beneficial I would say because parallely you'll get both the subjects which are of technical as well as non technical
If you have decided that your career is in the civil services even as you pursue your engineering, start now! Collect all the data you can grab your hands on about the UPSC exam
Thank you
