Passport in not mandatory. But voter card may be. If you have PAN Card, Aadhar Card, these will work. Some Identity documents are needed in GATE. For Indian candidates, it is Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar UID, College ID, Enrolment ID and Driving License. For International candidates, it is valid Passport/ Government issued ID/ College ID/ Employee ID.
