NIOS is a good board in it's own way, it is especially good for the students preparing for the JEE exam as they get some flexibility and time for their preparation.

The study material is very good and it reduces burden from students when compared to NCERT.

But, the perception of students towards this board is very wrong. Most of the students ask if NIOS board is valid for this, that and what not.Another major problem with the students is they think NIOS is very lenient and will pass them anyway but thats not always happen thus you need to attend your classes sincerly .
