Getting CGPA above 9 CGPA is always overrated in engineering colleges. You might be told by other students and teachers and professors that it is quite impossible to get CGPA above 9 but I would tell you the reality that this is not much difficult actually.

NIT Warangal is one of the best institute of country and have some of the best Minds of the country. The students are really studious intelligent and hard working.
And many time even first year students get CGPA above 9.
I would say to you that you should not lose your hope if you did not get a 9 CGPA. Many of the students get above 9 CGPA so you should not worry and just work hard and study hard. Other than this I would also recommend you to pay attention to a lab class also as if they are equally important.
