I don't want to demotivate you at all and no one should. You already know it's a competitive exam so level of difficulty is not same for every aspirant. It depends on your level of knowledge and preparation. I believe an average student can also qualify this exam if he/she is dedicated and consistent at the same time. Avoid distractions and build your mindset that you can do it. It's not like no one qualifies this exam. Just think in this way," if he/she can then I can and I will". Score as much as you can.
