If you are talented and hardworking, you can fit in anywhere in the  world. The stereotype that South Indians and North Indians do not like each other is a thing of the past as people have grown increasingly inclusive. So, as long as you are focused and can differentiate between what's important and what's not, you should be able to fit in just fine.
