@Sandhya: You should not feel demotivated. You can give time to your course and then focus on CAT exam. Failure is ok to accept than the regret of never attempting the exam.

@Sandhya: No it is not required to give CAT for MBA and there are other entrances as well like XAT, NMAT, CMAT etc but if you want to enter in IIMs then CAT is the exam. Also smart work is as such no terminology but to clear CAT exam one needs to not just
