Is it necessary for State domicile to be Kashmir?

Hello,

No, it is not necessary for your state domicile to be Kashmir unless the specific college, course, or quota you are applying for clearly requires it.

For example:

  • If you are applying under the JK (Jammu & Kashmir) domicile quota , then yes, you must have a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir.

  • But if you are applying through All India Quota (AIQ) or any open category , then you can belong to any state.

So, it depends on the admission rule or quota you are applying under.
