Hi Aspirant,

JEE Mains is necessary to you want to join a NIT,IIIT or a Centrally Funded technical Institution.

However,for other colleges which are either state run or private,JEE mains isn't mandatory.

Hence,if you want to study Computer Science from a CFTI, then jee mains is required and if not,then it isn't required.

See,the scenario is that if you will crack JEE,then you will get top NIT colleges and also chance to give JEE advance and if you crack advance then you can get into IITs.Its that simple that if you persue Engineering in Computer Science in top colleges then you can appear in jee.But if you don't want to appear in JEE them there are lots of private colleges where you can direct admission too.But as mentioned above there will be lot of difference in quality of education.
