The entrance exam varies college to college. Some of the colleges takes the admission through the entrance exam like CAT, MAT, CMAT etc. & some of the college takes the admission through its own entrance like SNAP, IBSAT etc. Please explain for which particular college you are asking?

Yes for different colleges there are different MBA exams. CAT exam is mainly conducted for admission in IIMs and XAT exam for admission in XLRI college. But as all the colleges cannot conduct their exams so scores of these 2 exams are widely accepted by almost all the colleges for admission.

Many of the colleges accept more than one MBA exams marks. Other than CAT and XAT exam other MBA exams whose marks are widely used by college for admission are GMAT, CMAT, CET, ATMA.

GMAT is an exam which is used to get admission in the foreign universities but there are many colleges in India which also accepts GMAT score for admission. Our country's one of the top b-school ISB Hyderabad gives admission only on GMAT score.

There are few colleges which are well reputated and conduct their own exam for admission like IIFT for Indian Institute of foreign trade, NMAT for Narsee Monjee, SNAP for symbiosis.

Even the other colleges which accepts score of CAT and XAT you need to apply separately for each college to be evaluated for admission.
