Dear Sohom, It depends upon what you want to do in biotechnology, BSc or BTech and from which institution. If you want to do BTech from any engineering college maths would be necessary because you would be doing engineering in biotech. Maths would be required to get admission in engineering college as well during course. But if you go with BSc in biotechnology then maths is not at all necessary.
