is it necessary to mention our caste in the application? can we just enter general merit?

I hope you are doing well.

Because you belong to the general group, a caste certificate isn't necessary. Income certificates are necessary in some situations. For example, while applying for a scholarship or free college tuition, we must present an income certificate, and it may be requested in other situations as well. Try to get one as soon as possible.

For groups other than General, such as SC, ST, OBC, and others, a caste certificate is usually required. Candidates in the general category are not required to submit any caste certificates or documentation. As a result, it shouldn't be an issue.
