No, It's not compulsory to give both attempts. You can directly give second attempt of JEE main 2022. NTA will conduct the JEE Mains 2022 phase 1 exam from April 16 to 21.  The authorities will conduct the NTA JEE Main 2022 two times - April and May. The NTA waived off the 75 percent eligibility criteria in JEE Main 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  NTA has started the JEE Main 2022 registration from March 1.  The May session will be conducted on May 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29, 2022.
