It is possible to change the branch after one year of BTech. The only thing though is if the branch you want to shift in have a seat empty or not. If your desired branch won't have an empty seat you can't shift. If the branch have a seat and also more than 1 person wishes to change the branch then the Percentage or CGPA matters alot.
