The North eastern IITS are a good option with respect to the fact that most of them are new and are still managing to get good placements and admission in world class universities like Carnegie Mellon University(CMU ). The coding culture is good and so is the course and faculty. IIIT Guwahati even though new nad not having as good infrastructure as its counterparts is still one of the good options. However if you do not feel comfortable and think that you can get a better option in your next attempt you can try that too. All the best!

It's certainly worth it if you can secure a seat of interest in a North East IIITs. Don't expect perfection, however. The students make up the best part of the university. You may have to watch the digital lecture / tutorial or read books or talk to your friends in order to better understand most items. But for most universities, that is the case.
