Well NCERT is not enough, honestly speaking. NCERT is a must basic book needed by every individual. It is mandatory for you to read and study from NCERT and using other books for reference. But still reference books are very important because a large number of concepts in NCERT is not correctly explained and is not easy to understand as it is also very briefly discussed.
